Patients not numbers : people not statistics

This report was published by the Patients Association in 2009, and it aims to raise awareness of failings in hospital care. It is a collection of 16 stories from patients and relatives who have contacted the Patients Association and expressed concern about the care they or a relative had received in hospital. The Patients Association recommends that the Government and the Care Quality Commission conducts an urgent review of the standards of basic care being received by patients in hospital and demands stricter supervision and regulation of hospital care.
