National framework for NHS continuing healthcare and NHS-funded nursing care - July 2009 (revised)

The Department of Health published this updated framework to assist in maintaining consistency in the determination of eligibility for NHS continuing healthcare and NHS funded nursing care in England and Wales, in July 2009. Based on the concept of primary health need, it takes account of changes in legislation and case law. The website also provides statistics on the numbers receiving continuing NHS care (as opposed to other long term care arrangements).
