Patient safety
This is the patient safety online resource from the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). The website is designed to introduce nurses to a broad range of activity relating to patient safety. The resource is in development and currently provides information on the RCN's Safety Climate Assessment Tool (SACT). The tool is a 42-item questionnaire that asks staff to rate their agreement or disagreement with a range of statements about the safety climate in their organisation. It measures staff responses across nine dimensions which are organised under three headings: organisation system and environment; organisation system and work groups; and organisation system and individual and work groups. The resource also provides links to patient safety learning opportunities and RCN related products and services most relevant to the patient safety agenda.
